Indirect Systems
In indirect systems, an anti-freeze liquid (usually glycol) is circulated through the collectors. This heated fluid never mixes with your household water. Instead, it flows through a heat exchanger (or jacket) around the geyser, transferring heat to the water inside. Indirect systems are ideal for areas prone to frost or extreme cold.

2. Split vs Thermosyphon Systems
Split Systems
These systems place the solar collectors above the geyser. A pump and timer unit are used to circulate water between the collectors and geyser. Split systems are highly efficient and can be integrated neatly into existing plumbing layouts.

Thermosyphon Systems
These work without a pump. As water heats in the solar collectors, it naturally rises into the geyser, while cooler water from the geyser flows back down into the collectors. It's a self-regulating, low-maintenance option that relies purely on thermal dynamics.
